A.B.M College was the very old college in kavali. It is 105 years old college.This college offering primary school,High school, Intermediate, degree and Post graduate.

The college located on Trunk Road, opposite to APSRTC Bus Stand. The college was the first school constructed by British to educate locals and dalits. At present it is closed due local politics. Unfortunatley, after giving tremendous charity, education for more than 100 years to the many people it closed silently.

Jawahar Bharati college is one of the leading college in Andra Pradesh.

Jawahar Bharati College, established in 1951,is in the town of Kavali in Nellore district of the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It was started as Kavali College. Jawahar Bharati is considered a premier institute and draws students from many places in Nellore & Prakasam district. An young graduate Dr D.Ramachandra Reddy established this college, with a view to impart education to the poor and needed people of Kavali.

Sri Venkateswara University Post-Graduate Centre

Sri Venkateswara University Post-Graduate Centre, (SVUPG Center) Kavali is one of the best college in Andra Pradesh under Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

Sri Venkateswara University Post-Graduate Centre, Kavali owes its origin to the initiative of Sri D. Ramachandra Reddy the architect of Visvodaya who started the P.G. Course in Economics and M.Com. in 1972 and 1973 respectively in Jawahar Bharathi Degree College. In 1973, M.Com course was started. These two courses were handed over to Sri Venkateswara University in April, 1978 when Prof. K. Satchidananda Murty was the Vice-Chancellor. During the tenure of Prof. M. Santhappa - the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of S.V. University in 1979 - two courses in science viz., Physics and Zoology were added and Prof. K. Sasirababu was appointed as Professor of Zoology and Special Officer of the P.G. Centre. The Science Departments were shifted to its own campus of 78 Acres in 1984. The Economics and Commerce Departments were shifted in 1987. The two former special officers Prof. K. Sasirababu and Prof. G. Raghava Reddy contributed a lot for the growth and development of the Centre.

The Centre has four regular Departments: Commerce, Economics, Physics and Zoology and four Self-supporting Courses: M.C.A., M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Mathematics and M.B.A. Besides teaching, research (M.Phil & Ph.D.) is undertaken in Economics, Commerce, Physics and Zoology.

The SVUPG Library has 17,500 books and is contributing to 40 Journals and magazines.
